Cabin Fever Dutch Oven Gathering 2026

We had a good turnout this year for the Cabin Fever Dutch Oven Gathering at Andrew Jackson State Park, we greatly missed several families this year due to illnesses. On Friday night we had our Weary Travelers Dinner. It was a big success. We had a little rain shower, but everyone managed to stay dry and keep the fire going. Saturday morning, we got started around 9AM, we had high wind gusts and temps in the low 30’s. We have a very resilient group! The big craze this year was smokeless fire pits at many of the cooking stations in addition to the fireplace in the shelter. We had some great food this year with 14 pots on the table. We had some newcomers this year and some we had not seen in years. The park staff was very helpful this year as usual.

Looking forward to the Southeast Camper Spring Dutch Oven Gathering at Kings Mountain State Park in April.
